Chef Eric Ripert and nine top chefs—Dan Barber, Stephane Becht, Daniel Humm, Gavin Kaysen, Anita Lo, Laurent Manrique, George Mendes, Sam Talbot, and Michael White —will offer their signature dishes at an exclusive dinner at the Pierre Hotel in New York City to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Tibetan diaspora and to celebrate the survival of Tibetan culture at a time when it is at great risk of disappearing in Tibet.

In an intimate setting, each of the chefs will cook for a table of 20 people.  Well-known photographers and artists are donating their work to be sold in an auction at the dinner. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit The Tibet Fund, a nonprofit organization founded in 1981 under the auspices of the Dalai Lama to support refugee rehabilitation, health care, education, community and economic development and cultural preservation programs that enable the Tibetan people to sustain their way of life, national identity and culture in exile.
